Namibia edged past Oman in a low-scoring nail-biter at the Kensington Oval in Barbados to kick off their T20 World Cup campaign. Namibia won the toss and opted to field first, restricting Oman to a modest 109 runs thanks to a superb bowling performance. Ruben Trumpelmann stole the show with a fiery opening spell, grabbing two wickets off the first two balls of the match and finishing with a four-wicket haul. David Wiese chipped in with three wickets for Namibia.

Chasing a seemingly easy target, Namibia themselves stumbled early, losing their opener for a duck. Jan Frylinck (45) and Nikolaas Davin (24) steadied the ship with a 42-run stand, but a disciplined bowling display by Oman, spearheaded by Mehran Khan's three-wicket spell, brought them back into the contest.

With five runs required off the last ball, Namibia needed a miracle. Wiese, however, could only manage a bye, forcing the game into a dramatic Super Over.

Wiese, Namibia's hero, emerged once again, this time with the ball. He struck early and conceded only 10 runs, securing a tense victory for Namibia. Wiese was adjudged Player of the Match for his all-around performance.
